Genesha’s life was a mess. It just seemed to be one bad choice after another. She had dropped out of school, had unhealthy relationships and no guidance. But she suffered the greatest consequence when she was arrested for check fraud. She went to prison and her precious little boys were taken away from her.
When she was released from prison, things seemed to be the same as before. She was living house to house, and soon found herself pregnant with her third child. She wanted something different, something better, for her and her children. Genesha called The Rescue Mission for help.
Genesha has reached many of the goals she set for herself. After being apart for fifteen months, her first goal was to get her boys back. Because Charis House provided her with stability, she was reunited with her children and they are thriving as a family! She has also gotten her driver’s license, and is now working toward her GED. After that, she plans on going to college to become a radiological technician.
“They showed me so much love here. Charis House is a good place if you’re serious about getting your life together. They gave me the tools I need to get back into the world, and the parenting skills to raise my kids in a healthy way. I want my kids to see me growing in my faith in God. Thank you to all who support the Mission. This place has helped me, and my kids, have a better future.”
Without you, these life changing programs would not be possible. Thank you so much for helping give Genesha, her children, and many others a brighter future!
